ODH Statement on Hantavirus

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) is monitoring the hantavirus outbreak linked to cruise ship travel. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has indicated that standard notification channels will be used to communicate with states who have returning passengers. ODH has not received notification of any returning passengers to-date. If any notifications are received, ODH will work closely with impacted local health departments on guidance and post-travel recommendations.
