POSITION: REHS Supervisor - Water and Sewage Program

AGENCY: Warren County Health District

DEPARTMENT: Environmental Health Division

LOCATION: 416 South East Street, Lebanon, Ohio

HOURS: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Monday thru Friday with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.  A 4-day work week schedule may be considered. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

PAY RANGE: Pay Grade 10: Starting Salary Range ($64,525.50-$86,131.50)                                                                                

POSTING PERIOD:  No less than seven (7) consecutive calendar days.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

B.S. Degree in Environmental Health or related science (biology, chemistry, geology etc.). Minimum of (5) five years’ experience as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist. Management/supervisory experience is preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES:

Knowledge of environmental health science, biology, chemistry, and other related sciences.  Be skilled in analytical/assessment, policy development, cultural competency, community dimensions of practice, public health sciences, financial planning and management, leadership and systems think skills and communication skills. Must be proficient with technology and ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form and be capable of preparing meaningful, concise, and accurate reports.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for planning/developing environmental health water and sewage programs; participates in policy development; provides supervision/leadership/training/evaluating of assigned staff; responsible for performing routine and complex inspections, consultation, testing, sampling, and vector control duties related to state and local environmental health programs designed to improve human health, wellbeing of natural and working environments. Attends meetings as required; provides support for accreditation activities; may also have responsibilities in other environmental health programs implemented by the health district, as needed.
