NOW HIRING: Environmental Health (Special Projects) Grant Coordinator

Under supervision and guidance of Director of Environmental Health Division, this position assists the environmental health team in the design, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of various projects in the division, including but not limited to grant work, research, and the facilitation and coordination of division interns.

This position will be the primary resource and point of contact for implementation of a grant funded collaboration between Franklin County Public Health and EHS-Net, NEHA, and other Environmental Health grants and research funding. This position works in support of program expansion through a collaborative process with the focus on overall grant coordination.

Duties Include:

  • Serves as a project liaison between FCPH and its contracted project agencies. Provides consultation to individual and organizational members of the community regarding planning, implementing and overall programming. 
  • Coordinates writing, editing, and collecting documentation, and ensures that grant deliverables are complete and submitted to grantor by the required deadlines. Assists with identifying and recommending grant expenditures. Prepares submission of grants as appropriate and is responsible for managing program budget, reporting and grant requirements.
  • With guidance from the EH Director this position assists the environmental health team in the design, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of various projects in the division, including but not limited to grant work, research, and the facilitation and coordination of division interns.
  • Assembles and facilitates contracted project agencies meetings to assure coordination and collaboration. Compiles meeting minutes and maintains documentation for strategies, activities and responsibilities related grant requirements.
  • Coordinates and directs development of Accella software for each of the divisions. Runs reports in Healthspace and HDIS.
  • Coordinates across partner sites to plan, develop and maintain data bases to facilitate quick retrieval and manipulation of data.
  • Assists in developing marketing plans with Public Information Officer and Communications Department to promote program.
  • Lead external communications with external partners related to the water quality MS4 Requirements
  • Utilizes appropriate methods for interacting effectively and professionally with persons of all ages and from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, and ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, lifestyles and physical abilities.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field required, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in grant processes, grant application, management, and reporting.
  • Experience in intern management, plan development, and oversight.
  • Experience in research coordination
  • Healthspace/HDIS/Accella software experience
  • FDA-NEHA RFFM Experience (Preferred)
  • EHS Net Experience (Preferred)
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet insurability requirements.

Hiring Wage Range: $25.40/hour - $29.21/hour. This is a non-exempt position.
