Job Title: Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Coordinator

Employment Category: Part-Time
Hours: 24 hours per week, flexible schedule between 8:00-4:00 M-F. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
Pay Range: Negotiable based on qualification and experience

Essential Duties:
- Under direction of the Health Commissioner/Administrator, and supervision of the Nursing Director, this position performs activities identified within the Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation grant.
- Coordinates tobacco cessation activities and completes the project evaluation process. Completes all grant deliverables in a timely manner.
- Prepares reports and related documents as required; administers surveys, disseminates tobacco use prevention and cessation resources and materials; and uses data to enhance tobacco use prevention and cessation planning.
- Conducts multiple cessation focused community engagement and outreach activities each quarter for both adult and youth populations.
- Collaborates with MCHD staff, coalition members, businesses and other organizations to accomplish strategic plan goals; coordinates and integrates tobacco use prevention and cessation program with chronic disease education.
- Develops health marketing plans with the Public Information Team that promote tobacco prevention and cessation. Supports and expands the reach of state level mass media campaigns.
- Participates in professional development and collaborative work to enhance completion of grant deliverables. Attends all required trainings and calls.
- Conducts store audits and trains youth how to conduct store audits.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Experience/Qualifications:
- Associates degree required with Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Must have a valid Ohio driver's license with ongoing proof of auto insurance and be able to travel with reliable transportation.
- Must pass a law enforcement criminal background check.
- Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
