Knox Public Health

Knox Public Health in semi-rural Mount Vernon Ohio and centrally located with easy access to the larger metropolitan areas, is currently seeking a Dentist in our Community Health Services division.

The responsibilities of this position will include but may not be limited to:

  • Diagnose and provide appropriate dental treatment to patients, including regular cleanings, restorative needs, root canals, and surgical extractions
  • Educate patients on maintaining proper oral health
  • Communicate with dental staff regarding patient treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications as necessary
  • Carefully document all medications, diagnoses, treatments and consultations using electronic health records
  • Oversee the work of professional, technical and administrative staff.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure in Ohio
  • Valid malpractice liability insurance
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a licensed dentist in practice is preferred, however individuals will be assessed on a case-by-case basis
  • Exceptional dental, communication/public speaking, computer and customer service skills.
