Henry County Health Department
Henry County Health Department’s Public Health Nursing division is seeking a Full-Time Epidemiologist 1 to provide services for both Henry County Health Department and Putnam County Health Department.
Qualifications/Licensure Requirements:
Minimum of bachelor’s degree required in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or other related field; master’s degree preferred; minimum two (2) years’ experience with disease prevention and control programming efforts and/or emergency preparedness and response; or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience; bilingual (Spanish) skills preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting epidemiological data and applying it for decision making and guiding the jurisdiction’s COVID-19 response.
- Building capacity for infection prevention and control in local health departments, healthcare settings, congregate settings, and high-risk/vulnerable populations.
- Identifying vulnerable populations, communities, and groups in the jurisdiction that are disproportionately affected by COVID-19.
- Assist with cluster and outbreak investigations, including facility-based outbreaks.
- Assist with developing epidemiological reports for a variety of stakeholders and developing and maintaining dashboards to communicate the status of, and trends in, the local epidemic
Hours and Pay Range:
Full-time; non-exempt from overtime. Pay Grade 5; pay range $20.25 - $32.75 per hour.
