Registered Environmental Health Specialist / Specialist in Training
The Delaware Public Health District seeks a F/T Registered Environmental Health Specialist or Specialist in Training to work in the Residential Services Unit of the Environmental Health Division. This position is responsible for conducting inspections and plan reviews of various premises and facilities for sewage/water systems and vector control duties. In addition, this position explains and interprets laws and policies, initiates public health orders, and recommends enforcement actions.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must be able to communicate professionally and effectively both orally and in writing. BA/BS degree, Ohio driver license, and State of Ohio Registered Environmental Health Specialist registration or State of Ohio Registered Environmental Health Specialist in Training registration required. Minimum of 0-5 years’ experience required, depending on position. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required.
Pay and Benefits:
- REHSIT starting pay is $19.89, may be adjusted commensurate with experience.
- REHS 1 starting pay is $21.14, may be adjusted commensurate with experience.
- REHS 2 starting pay is $22.14, may be adjusted commensurate with experience.
