Administrative Assistant – Environmental Health

The Delaware Public Health District seeks a F/T Administrative Assistant 1 or Administrative Assistant 2, depending on experience, to work in the Environmental Health Division. Individual will manage a variety of applications for environmental permits and licenses, calculate proper fees, receipting, enter data into various programs, run multiple reports from databases, scan, file and maintain program records, answer phones, greet clients and assist with other general office duties as assigned. This position will back up other Administrative Assistant positions, as necessary.


The successful candidate should be dependable, have excellent skills with multitasking, time management, data entry, handling calls and providing quality service to clients. Healthspace or Health Department Information System software experience a plus. At least 1 -3 years of related work experience is required. High school diploma or GED required.
