Director of Environmental Health

The Delaware Public Health District seeks a F/T Director of Environmental Health. The Director handles programming and personnel issues at the division level. The Director is responsible for the planning, organizing, directing, leading, and controlling of the Environmental Health Division. The Division includes Food Protection and Public Safety, Residential Services and Plumbing, Solid Waste and Housing. This position reports to the Health Commissioner and is a member of the Leadership Team.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in field of public health, health or business/public administration, environmental health, public policy or other health-related field required. Seven to ten years relevant experience required. Three years supervisory experience required.

Registered Ohio Environmental Health Specialist required. Substitution: Two additional years of the required relevant experience may be substituted for possession of a Master’s degree.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting pay will be determined based on the job applicant’s qualifications and job classification.  Depending on the current qualifications of the successful applicant, the starting pay range is $68,640/year. Pay is commensurate with experience.
