Delaware Public Health District
The Delaware Public Health District seeks a F/T Sanitarian-in-Training or Registered Sanitarian to work in the Food Protection and Public Safety Unit of the Environmental Health Division. This position is responsible for conducting inspections and plan reviews on food service operations/retail food establishments, schools, swimming pools, campgrounds, tattoo/body art facilities, vending sites and Smoke Free Ohio. Explains and interprets laws and policies, initiates public health orders and recommends enforcement actions.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must be able to communicate professionally and effectively both orally and in writing. BA/BS degree, Ohio driver license, and State of Ohio Registered Sanitarian license or State of Ohio Sanitarian-in-Training license required. Minimum of 0-5 years’ experience required, depending on position. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required.
Pay and Benefits:
- SIT starting pay is $19.89, may be adjusted commensurate with experience.
- RS I starting pay is $21.14, may be adjusted commensurate with experience.
- RS II starting pay is $22.14, may be adjusted commensurate with experience.
