Public Health Intern

Type:  Part-time Temporary Intern: Up to 24 hours a week, November 2020 – April 2021
Rate:  $13.00 - $16.00

Clermont County Public Health is looking for an intern to assist with the completion of the Community Health Improvement Plan. Clermont County Public Health is a great place for energetic self-starters that enjoy spending most of their day on their own working in a caring environment where their opinions matter. We follow an attractive work schedule that starts at 8:30 am and finishes at 4:30 pm. Job Duties:         

Assist Public Health staff with completion of a Community Health Improvement Plan. Duties include assisting with and scheduling Community Health Improvement Plan Workgroup meetings; assisting with plan preparation; ensuring compliance with Public Health Accreditation Board standards and measures related to Community Health Improvement Plans; communicating with partner agencies; and assisting with development of a performance management system.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Applicant must be working on a degree in public health or related field, including nursing, environmental health or epidemiology, graduate level student preferred.
• Must be a self-starter and independent worker.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Publisher.
• Must have regular attendance, staff will work with intern to accommodate class schedules.
• Staff will also assist in working with student on meeting any educational requirements needed by the intern.
• Must be able to work remotely and in person for the position.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
