Community Health Specialist Supervisor
Ross County Health District
The Ross County Health District is actively seeking a motivated Community Health Specialist Supervisor to help lead a great team of Community Health Specialists and Population Health focused grant programs within the Division of Health Promotion and Quality Improvement.
Position Description: The Community Health Specialist (CHS) Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of several of the agency’s Population Health focused grants and supervision of the program coordinators as assigned by the Division Director. The position will assist in implementation of strategies in the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), collaborate with community partners in the development of community programs and policies aimed to improve health outcomes for Ross County. The position will assist the agency in implementation of marketing, communication, workforce development, strategic, and performance / quality improvement plans / initiatives. The position will contribute to the attainment of goals, objectives, and activities set in various grant program workplans along with grant program staff.
Pay Range: pay is commensurate with education and professional experience.
Hours: Full-time, Exempt, non-classified, Occasional weekend or afterhours required

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in public health, planning or related field; MPA or MPH preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in grants management or development related field
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to develop, organize, motivate, and coordinate groups.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and organize data.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff members, public officials, representatives, and other stakeholders and communicate effectively with various audiences (both in writing and verbally).
- Ability to prepare informative and accurate reports on program progress.
- Knowledge of Grants Administration Procedures and related Laws and Regulations
- Knowledge and understanding of the PHAB Accreditation process, familiarity of PHAB Standards, Measures, and Domains.
- Must have a valid State of Ohio driver’s license and remain insurable in accordance with the agency’s insurance policy. Ability to pass a BCI Background Check and Drug Screening.
