PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE II- Program Coordinator

POSITION INTRODUCTION

 

The Public Health Nurse utilizes nursing and public health concepts and theories to provide health promotion and disease prevention services to individuals, families, and population groups, in a variety of settings. Coordinates the Adolescent Health Resiliency and Maternal Child Health-Cribs for Kids programs including implementation, evaluation, and reporting. Provides support for Public Health Nursing Clinical Services for all ages in both clinic and community settings [e.g., assessment, history taking, Tb skin tests, immunizations, collection of patient specimens (e.g., urine, sputum, stool, blood), point of care testing or prepares specimen for submission to laboratory, health screenings). Nursing actions are directed toward the goals of prevention, assessment, risk reduction and health status improvement for individuals, families, and communities through systematic analysis of health data, health education, advocacy, and coalition building. The public health nurse II position is funded through the Board of Health and may be supported by other grants within the Ross County Health District.

 

Salary Range: $22.21-$26.65
