The Medina County Health Department, a nationally accredited health department, has a full-time opening for a Registered Environmental Health Specialist Supervisor.

Essential Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducts inspections and other program activities in environmental health programs (e.g., household sewage, private water, etc.)
- Supervises Registered Environmental Health Specialists (REHS) and Registered Environmental Health Specialists in Training (REHSIT)
- Accountable for program oversight and program development
- Assists in drafting and reviewing procedures and SOG’s as needed, educates staff related to program procedures and SOG’s
- Participates in program cost methodology and program budgeting, educates local public officials and community members on environmental public health issues
Minimum Education, Training and/or Experience Needs:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Registered Environmental Health Specialist with at least three years of public health experience as a REHSIT or REHS with direct specific program experience
- Must be registered as a REHS with the Ohio Department of Health
- Ability to obtain Commercial Pesticide Applicator License
