Job Title: Registered Environmental Health Specialist Supervisor	Service Area: Environmental Health	Employment Status: Full-Time (40 hrs/wk), Non-Exempt
Pay Grade: Hourly Range: $34.00 - $44.35 Based on qualifications & experience	Hours of Operation: 8:00am - 4:30pm Days of Work: Monday - Friday Occasional evening/weekend if needed	Posting Date: January 23, 2024 Closing Date: February 6, 2024

The Medina County Health Department, a nationally accredited health department, has a full-time opening for a Registered Environmental Health Specialist Supervisor.

Essential Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conducts inspections and other program activities in environmental health programs (e.g., household sewage, private water, etc.)
• Supervises Registered Environmental Health Specialists (REHS) and Registered Environmental Health Specialists in Training (REHSIT)
• Accountable for program oversight and program development
• Assists in drafting and reviewing procedures and SOG’s as needed, educates staff related to program procedures and SOG’s
• Participates in program cost methodology and program budgeting, educates local public officials and community members on environmental public health issues

Minimum Education, Training and/or Experience Needs: 

• Bachelor’s degree
• Registered Environmental Health Specialist with at least three years of public health experience as a REHSIT or REHS with direct specific program experience
• Must be registered as a REHS with the Ohio Department of Health
• Ability to obtain Commercial Pesticide Applicator License
