Public Health Nurse
Morgan County Health Department
The Morgan County Health Department is now looking for an energized and compassionate RN to become part of our team. When you join the Morgan County Health Department, you have the unique opportunity to join a small team that makes a huge impact in the lives of people in our community.
Starting Salary Range: $18.00 to $20.00 / hour
Other Benefits: PERS Retirement, sick leave, vacation leave, and paid holidays
Required Travel: Primarily in county
Employee Type: Full time, 32 hours a week
Position Description: This position is responsible for patient care, blood draws, immunizations, health education and outreach, and many other nursing services. This position would also function as the communicable disease investigation team lead.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must hold an active RN license in the state of Ohio
- Must have a valid drivers license/insurance
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be reliable and capable of working independently
- Must have current CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications (in addition to above):
- Basic knowledge of Public Health
- Basic knowledge of communicable diseases
- Experienced in community health/infection control
- Experienced in health education
- Experienced and knowledge of childhood and adult immunization
- Experienced in phlebotomy
