Population Health Epidemiologist
Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Service Area: Health Planning
Salary: $24.74 - $30.15 per hour; $48,243 - $58,793
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides and analyzes data for various health topics, including drug overdose, sexually transmitted diseases, maternal and child health, chronic disease, and others, as well as for agency needs. Creates data visualizations and writes data reports.
- Engages with stakeholders and the communities who are most affected by local health issues.
- Contributes to data collection and analysis for community health assessment and community health improvement planning.
- Coordinates COVID outbreak investigations and reporting; serves as a back-up to other communicable disease outbreak investigations.
- Ensures programs and services comply with standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Public Health with training in epidemiology and two years’ experience in the field, or a Bachelor’s degree with specific epidemiology training and four years of experience. Experience in communicable disease investigation is also preferred.
- Available to respond to emergencies 24/7.
- Experience developing policies and managing programs preferred.
- Valid Ohio driver license with acceptable driving record and proof of insurance coverage.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Occasional travel required; may need to use own vehicle.
