TITLE: Intermittent Mobile Clinic Operator
CLASSIFICATION: Intermittent (on-call as needed, should not exceed 120 days/calendar year of 1000 hours worked); FLSA Non-exempt; Unclassified
PAY RANGE: Hourly rate starts at $18.04 commensurate with experience
WORK HOURS: Days and hours of work may vary; Nights/weekends/holidays will be required
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Mobile Clinic Operator is responsible for transporting the mobile clinic to sites as indicated by the program schedule. The Operator will communicate with the client, and assist in setting up and tearing down the clinic while on-site.
The Operator will be responsible for arranging and completing preparation, maintenance, and storage of the mobile clinic and for maintaining all required documentation associated with the travel and maintenance of the mobile clinic.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two or more years working with specialty vehicles.
- Proven broad-base of knowledge in automotive systems.
REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
- Valid Class D Ohio Driver’s License. Valid license must be maintained throughout employment.
- Clear driving abstract.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Determines the condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use; logs inspections; completes reporting requirements; maintains the cleanliness of the external clinic, and maintains inventory of the vehicle supplies, using agency-approved documentation.
- Delivers the vehicle to programmatic destinations and assists in set up of the vehicle; is responsible for selecting a safe, efficient route and driving the vehicle.
- Ensures safe operations of the vehicle and related equipment by arranging for / completing any needed maintenance.
- Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions; contacts the appropriate resources for guidance as needed; maintains equipment supplies; evaluates new equipment and supplies.
- Maintains safe vehicle conditions and protects vehicle by complying with organization policy and procedures, as well as traffic/motor vehicle rules, laws, and regulations.
- Conserves resources by efficiently using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Is responsible for the safe and efficient operation / transport of the mobile clinic on behalf of the Wood County Health Department.
- May be assigned various responsibilities contributing to the success of the program / event, e.g.: speaking with, and assisting attendees, and/or passing out informational materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, and work independently. Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking abilities and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to provide proof of automobile insurance.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
- Ability to be on the road for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work alternate hours (early morning, late evening, and/or weekends).
- Ability to lift 55 pounds as needed.
- Ability to follow all OSHA Guidelines and HIPPA Regulations.
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop and/or walk.
- Ability to grasp with manual dexterity.
- Ability to manipulate a keyboard and other technology.
Work Environment:
- Travels to off-site locations
- Exposed to, and driving in inclement weather conditions
- Responds to emergency calls
- May come into contact with secondhand smoke, communicable diseases, blood, bodily fluids, allergens, dusts, cleaning supplies, insects and animals
Final candidates must successfully pass a background check and provide proof of current automobile insurance.
An individual who poses a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace will be deemed not qualified for this position.
