ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Candidate will perform a variety of fiscal duties under the direction of the Fiscal Director including preparation of payroll, bills, daily pay-ins, and quality assurance checks on purchase orders, payroll, and pay-ins. Will create invoices for SCGHD services provided, assist with month end process, create purchase orders for review and approval, compile fiscal reports for monthly Board meetings, and maintain fiscal files (P.O.s/requisitions, timesheets, leave requests, payroll reports).
Candidate will perform some administrative duties, assist Fiscal Director and Health Commissioner in related job duties as assigned; may prepare materials and attend Board of Health meetings and take minutes of various meetings as directed, gather statistics/data and prepare reports.
Candidate will conduct new employee orientation, explain employee benefits, maintain personnel and medical records, prepare and maintain employee exit paperwork, compile materials and maintain employee database records and personnel files, accept and direct visitors, have excellent communication and computer and software skills, and may schedule interviews.
Candidate will assist staff in ordering program supplies and maintaining supply inventory, and any other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Fiscal Clerk requires an employee to work onsite at the Seneca County General District building, and a general schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., although a flexible schedule may be required. Lift, climb, bend, twist, kneel, squat; Sit, stand, stoop, and/or walk; Grasp with manual dexterity; Manipulate a keyboard and other technology.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To be eligible, candidates should minimally possess a high school diploma. Post-secondary education is a plus. Experience in fiscal operations and human resources is essential. Candidate must be highly motivated and willing to show initiative to begin and complete tasks. Looking for a quick learner willing to expand and adapt as needed. Fluency in Spanish is helpful, but not required. Must have a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and successfully complete background check at own expense prior to employment through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation as per Ohio S.B. 38.
COMPENSATION: This will be a 40 hour per week position. Starting pay of $16.50 per hour.
