Equity & Development Coordinator

Knox Public Health is seeking an Equity & Development Coordinator. The responsibilities of this position will include but not be limited to:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Under the direction of the Public Health Education & Nursing Director, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leads the agency equity work by conceptualizing, planning, and executing program, policies, and training
- Member of the Quality Improvement Council
- Promote program and policy analysis as essential elements in Public Health at the national, state, community and organization levels
- Advance the practice of effective health planning and policy analysis in public and private health settings
- Improve the scientific and technical base of health planning and policy analysis, and policy formation in the public and private sector
- Identify collaboration opportunities between planning and other disciplines
- Stimulate thought, discussion and research on health problems related to community health planning; serve as the go-to source for KPH for expertise about community health planning
- Provide opportunities to improve health planning practice and education within the board perspective of public health
- Assists with other programs and activities to include, but may not be limited to:
- Providing public presentations
- Writing articles and layouts for program newsletters
- Meeting preparation and meeting participation
- Assists when needed in promotional efforts for agency programs and activities, both internal and external
- Attends community meetings, training sessions, conferences and workshops to give or receive information on behalf of agency
- Completes continuing education sessions, as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Social Work, Policy Analysis, Business Administration, Political Science or a related field required
- Master’s Degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Social Work, Policy Analysis, Business Administration, Political Science or a related field preferred
- Valid Ohio State Identification Card/Driver’s License
- Auto insurance (Bodily injury, one person $100,000/Bodily injury, accidental $300,000/Property damage $100,000)
- CPR certification
This position is regular, full-time 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday, subject to a rotating, or flexible, shift schedule; may work additional hours, evenings, and/or weekends as required.
