SB 229 Contained Two New Authorities for LHDs Credit Card Use and Name Change

SB 229, as passed by the Ohio General Assembly in December 2018, contained two new provisions in support of Local Health Districts. AOHC led the charge to include language that permits LHDs to obtain and use credit cards for business expenses, as well as language that allows LHDs to change their DBA name to include the term, "Public Health." The bill goes into effect on March 22, 2019.
