Environmental Health Intern for Mosquito Control Program

Hancock Public Health

May 21, 2018-August 9, 2018, Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-2:00pm.

Salary: Unpaid Internship.

General statement of duties: The incumbent will set and collect mosquito traps and prepare the adult mosquitos for shipment, identify mosquito larvae, educate residents on mosquito abatement, investigate mosquito nuisance complaints, maintain accurate records, assist with adulticide applications, maintain and store equipment responsibly, create press releases and social media posts regarding the mosquito program, and any other mosquito control related tasks as needed.

Required education, experience, and training: Applicant should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a graduate degree in public health, environmental health or a related field.
