NOW HIRING: Sanitarian-in-Training/Registered Sanitarian, Vector Programs 

Involved with day-to-day operations and quality assurance of the mosquito management program. Performs inspections and investigations to identify the presence of mosquitoes, rodents and other vectors; selects appropriate control measures. Enforces Environmental Health code and regulations pertaining to vector control; may assist in the inspection and enforcement of all Environmental Health Programs.

Duties Include:

• Works closely with vector management contractor; monitors contracted deliverables, costs, efficacy, quality assurance and other parameters as defined
• Compiles, maintains, analyzes and prepares vector management data, records, and reports
• Plans and conducts environmental health inspections and evaluations of homes, businesses, and public facilities, etc.
• Applies appropriate environmental health codes, standards, and procedures for compliance
• Communicates and works with government officials and partnering governmental agencies
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must possess a valid certificate of registration as a Sanitarian-in-Training or Registered Sanitarian (preferred) from the state of Ohio Sanitarian Board.
• Bachelor's degree with coursework in Entomology, Biology, Zoology, Environmental Health/ Science, or Chemistry preferred.
• Experience in vector control programs preferred.
• Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work independently.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, and be insurable through FCPH’s provider.

Salary: Sanitarian-in-Training $17.85/ hour to $22.31/hour ; Registered Sanitarian $21.18/hour to $26.48/hour. This is a non-exempt position.
