Hours: Full-time, M - F 8 am - 4:30 pm (requires extended evening and weekend hours)
Starting Salary: A48: $25.08 - $34.49/hour
$52,166.40 - $71,739.20/annual
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Health, Public Administration, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology or related field with three years of community engagement, community relations or business development experience; Must be able to work evenings and weekends
- Current valid Ohio driver’s license & access to a motor vehicle
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Developing Community Relations and building community partners through a community –wide collaborations to reduce infant mortality.
- Overseeing the planning, implementation and evaluation of enforcement and informational activities for the Ohio Equity Institute (OIE) Dayton-Montgomery County Team and collaborating with various partners including Human Relations Council for the City of Dayton, City and County Commissioner and the Violence Prevention Program and increasing community members.
- Participation on the Ohio Equity Institute (OEI) core team and the local Infant Mortality Coalition.
- Develop plans for short and long term outreach in high risk communities.
- Performing investigative and implementation related planning and support which includes research and analysis as necessary to meet desired outcomes.
- May be required to play an active role in the event of a public health emergency, which may include changes in responsibilities and working hours
