The Ottawa County Health Department is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Director of Environmental Health.
Job Responsibilities: Plans, develops, implements and directs Environmental Health programs, services and activities; directs assigned staff; and ensures compliance with established federal, state, and local standards.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and/or a related field and Master’s Degree in Public Health preferred, minimum of five (5) years prior experience in Environmental Health preferably a local health district, minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current Registered Sanitarian in the state of Ohio. Valid Ohio Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Working Conditions: May be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays or on-call and will travel within and outside the county.
