Position:                      Site Supervisor (Lisbon WIC location)

Division:                      WIC Division

Classification:              Full Time; non-exempt – 120 days probationary period.

Work Schedule:           Monday – Friday 8am- 4:30pm: May require some weekend and evening work.

Salary Range:              $26.00- $31.00 per hour. Commensurate with experience.

Reports To:                 Amy Cooper, Director of WIC

Job Description:         

Administration: Serve as Nutrition Coordinator – develop local agency nutrition education and breastfeeding promotion and support plans, coordinate and direct nutrition services to participants, oversee food and formula prescriptions and coordinate with medical providers, provide nutrition in-service training to other local agency staff who provide nutrition services to participants, coordinate nutrition services with other WIC program operations, local agencies and community organizations, supervise nutrition  services staff, including Certifying Health Professionals, oversee development and implementation of Quality Assurance Plan and Quality Improvement Plan. Completes WIC grant application. Supervisory: Coordinate all activities of the assigned clinic including supervising staff, participant certification, food issuance, clinic scheduling, nutrition and breastfeeding education, outreach and other necessary administrative duties. Ensures all clinic operations adhere to WIC Policies and Procedures. Clinic: Assist staff with clinic-related duties to maintain services to WIC participants.

Organizational Duties:

Complete WIC-required trainings: WIC University, Health Professional Training, VENA, Civil Rights, System Security, Conflict of Interest, New Directors’ Training, and USDA Breastfeeding Curriculum. Participate in quality improvement team projects and quality improvement training initiatives as applicable/ required and incorporate the principles of quality improvement into daily work activities. Incident Command System/National Incident Management System Training.  Level to be determined by Preparedness Coordinator. Provides emergency response support. Other duties as assigned. Requirements:            

Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics is required, along with a license to practice dietetics from the State Medical Board of Ohio. Must be Registered (RDN, RD) and Licensed Dietitian (LD) in State of Ohio. Requires a minimum of two years job-related experience. WIC experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office. Valid driver’s license and insurance.

Work Environment:   

General office setting in the Health Department facility requiring sedentary to light work which may include sitting, walking, climbing, reaching, standing, talking, and listening with occasional exposure to adverse environmental conditions.  The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work performed in this position may be subject to challenging interactions with community members. WIC is a fast-paced and typically noisy environment, due to the high volume of participants served.
