Contracting and Credentialing Specialist

Galion City Health Department

The Galion City Health Department is looking for a Contracting and Credentialing Specialist, as an independent contractor from December 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, which may be remote work mostly at a rate of $35.00/hour, not to exceed $7,000.  The Scope of work will include the following:

1. Maintain a current and accurate spreadsheet for provider information and payor enrollment information.
2. Review and verify status and information with all in-network payors. 
3. Complete changes and additions to provider information with payors. 
4. Researching payor requirements for credentialing, enrollment, and contracting
5. Complete and submit paperwork required for payor enrollment applications with insurance plans. Responsible for verifying the correct forms are submitted timely for each payor.
6. Following up with payors on the status of applications
7. Preparing rosters for payors with high accuracy and efficiency
8. Complete provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications for in-network payors, monitors applications, and follows up as needed.
9. Working in CAQH to update provider credentialing information
10. Working within the PECOS system to complete Medicare enrollments
11. Maintains confidentiality of provider information.
