Role and Responsibilities:
Under general and administrative direction, plans, develops, and implements public health education programs; Conducts community outreach activities to address public health priorities; conducts various health education programs for the public and community organizations; Acting as the Accreditation Coordinator and working with Accreditation team, guides/directs staff in order to accomplish and maintain Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) requirements; Performs public relations and marketing duties; serves as Health District’s Public Information Officer (PIO); Performs other related duties as required.
Experience/Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in health education or equivalent degree and should have one (1) to three (3) years experience as a health educator or have the equivalent in education and work experience. Experience with the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) requirements and PIO experience preferred. Previous experience in a health department setting and Certified Health Specialist (CHES) is preferred. Valid Ohio driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.

Pay Range: Hiring rate based on experience and certifications.
