Contact Tracer - Business and Community Liaison

This position is full-time (temporary) and is grant dependent (funded from 8/1/22 - 7/31/23).  It is anticipated that the position will end at the end of grant funding. 

Description

The Delaware Public Health District seeks a full-time Contact Tracer (aka Clinic Services Assistant) to conduct preventative health services within the community. Under general supervision, this position interviews, evaluates, and monitors clients, provides education, guidance and isolation/quarantine parameters based on CDC, ODH and DPHD standards.  Job duties may include but not be limited to: proactively research and contact community gathering to offer assistance during planning to reduce disease transmission, work with businesses and review plans to limit the spread of disease, contact tracing, and preparing and responding to outbreaks.

Typical Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.  Experience and/or education in Public Health or health related field preferred.

Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
