Health Educator

Holmes County General Health District

The Holmes County General Health District is actively seeking a qualified candidate for the full-time position of Health Educator. Under the general supervision of the Personal Health Services Director, the candidate chosen for this position will plan, implement, and evaluate health education programs, and may assist in social media management, webpage management and must be able to work in compliance with state and local public health laws and assist with writing grant reports and request for proposals.

Essential Duties:

Qualified candidates must possess:

Must have an Associate’s degree with a minimum 5 years’ experience in health education, or a bachelor’s degree in health education, public health, or a related field. Certified health education specialist (CHES) is preferred.  Grant management experience is a plus.  All applicants must be computer literate and able to effectively communicate orally and in writing, bi-lingual (Spanish or Penn Dutch) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Health Education Specialist, Master’s Degree in Public Health, or related field, Experience in public health settings, Experience in grant writing and grant management.
