Reports to: Chief Plumbing Inspector
Position: Classified, benefits-eligible based on hours
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: Range is $19.91-$30.88 per hour commensurate with experience and skills
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the general direction of the Chief Plumbing Inspector, the Certified Plumbing Inspector is responsible for conducting plan reviews and on-site inspections and consultations of residential and commercial plumbing systems. Assists in the backflow program and inspections of environmental health programs such as public health nuisances and household sewage systems. Participation in Emergency Response and other related duties as requested.

Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to work independently as well as within a team and have an appreciation for public health and its role in the community.
