Position: Registered Environmental Health Specialist or Environmental Health Specialist in Training (Sewage & Water Program)
Employment Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time (40 hrs/wk)
Wage: Hourly, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Medina County Health Department, a nationally accredited health department, has a full time career opportunity for a Registered Sanitarian or Sanitarian-in-Training in our Sewage and Water Program. The position involves extensive on-the-job training and facets of biology, microbiology, chemistry, geology, earth science, environmental law, teaching/instruction, and public relations.

General Qualifications (including but not limited to):
Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 45 quarter units or 30 semester units of coursework in environmental health, environmental health sciences, or in the physical, chemical, or biological sciences. Must be an Ohio Registered Sanitarian or Ohio Registered Sanitarian-in-Training eligible. Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills along with a proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) required. GIS experience a plus.
