Emergency Response Coordinator / Accreditation Coordinator

Brown County Health Department

The Brown County Health Department is seeking candidates for a full time Emergency Response Coordinator (ERC)/Accreditation Coordinator (AC) position. This is a full-time, grant funded position that will split their time between public health emergency preparedness and public health accreditation responsibilities.

ERC Responsibilities: Plans and implements exercises and response training for agency staff, healthcare associations, public safety forces and other stakeholders with respect to biological, chemical, or natural disasters. Assists with preparing and monitoring related grants. Reviews and updates response plans as necessary.

AC Responsibilities: Evaluates program/projects as required to improve the quality as well as quantity of service delivery through on site visits as well as review of reports and records. Public health department accreditation is defined as the development of a set of standards; a process to measure performance against those standards; and reward or recognition for meeting the standards.

Qualifications: Experience in accreditation, public safety, fiscal planning, public relations, public health, or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred or related progressive experience.
