Injury Prevention Coordinator Position

Division:  Administration
Reports to:  Community Services Director
Position:  Classified, benefits-eligible based on hours
Hours:  40 hours per week
Salary:  Range is $18.61-$29.02 per hour commensurate with experience and skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general direction of the Community Services Director, the Injury Prevention Coordinator will develop, conduct, and implement injury prevention and other health education programs, particularly as they relate to opioid abuse prevention.  Candidate will be expected to facilitate meetings, plan events, write and manage grants, lead and/or participate in community coalitions (Miami County Drug Free Coalition) as well as collect and analyze data relating to various prevention programs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Considerable knowledge of a variety of injury and/or violence prevention programs and activities is expected.  Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form; use proper research methods to gather data; prepare meaningful, concise and accurate reports; public speaking.
