Normal Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm; some evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required based on agency need =

Hourly Rate: $25.9615 per hour

Position Introduction:

As a member of the Population Health Team, the Public Health Nursing Supervisor reports to the Director of Population Health. The goal of Population Health is to promote health for all through the promotion of healthy behaviors and circumstances, the reduction of personal and environmental threats to health, community-based health planning and education, and emergency response planning. The Public Health Nursing Supervisor supervises, coordinates, and directs subordinates in work relating to this goal; performs professional public health nursing duties in homes, public health centers, and other community settings; and performs related work as directed. The Public Health Nursing Supervisor acts in the absence of the Director of Population Health/Nursing Director.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Plans, directs, coordinates, schedules, trains, and evaluates the work of public health workers engaged in a variety of nursing and health care
Coordinates nursing programs with other social and health service agencies, educational agencies, and the

Provides information to members of the public and county and non-county
Prepares appropriate
May assist in the development of new public health nursing
May assist in the management of public health
May assist in the writing or implementation of
Function as a role model in promoting professional nursing skills and
Assesses individual and community health
Basic Microsoft Office suite software competence (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and ability to learn new software applications as needed.
Valid Registered Nurse license in Ohio with five years of experience as a Registered Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are required.
