Full Time – Patient Care Unit
Applications are being accepted for a full-time Community Health Promotion Coordinator. Hours will be MondayFriday 8:00-4:30, but flexibility is required. This position will implement community health education grants and initiatives, and identifies areas of improvement and works with the staff to institute needed changes in documentation, program evaluation and Continuous Quality Improvement efforts. Performs some epidemiology functions for the agency. This position will represent Health Department at community meetings and work with partner agencies to promote public health education and collaborative partnerships.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Public health preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in public health, health education, nursing or related field is required. Graduate level statistics and/or epidemiology coursework will be required to be completed within one year of employment with a Bachelor’s degree. Knowledge of program planning and evaluation are required. Knowledge of public health accreditation requirements for local health departments preferred. Those who have used health department services highly desirable.
