Qualifications and Required Knowledge:
Knowledge of health education, ability to identify, develop, and deliver messages using a variety of communication strategies, methods, and techniques, engage in advocacy for health and health education/promotion, influence policy and/or systems change to promote health, health education, and wellness. Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate health education programs. Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Public Health, Health Promotion, or related field preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification encouraged.

HOURS: Full Time: Monday – Friday, 8:00-4:30. Occasional evening and weekend hours.
SALARY: Negotiable based on experience
DUTIES: Promotes, maintains, and improves individual and community health by assisting individuals and communities to adopt healthy behaviors. Builds and leads coalitions and collaborates with other prevention and wellness programs. Collects and analyzes data to identify community needs prior to planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, policies and environments. May also serve as a resource to assist individuals, other professionals, or the community, and may administer fiscal resources for health education programs.
