NOW HIRING: Sanitarian-in-Training or Registered Sanitarian I/II
Full-time position

The Sanitarian-in-Training or Registered Sanitarian is responsible for inspecting, investigating and enforcing Ohio Administrative Code, Ohio Revised Code and/or Franklin County District Board of Health Sanitary Regulations pertaining to sustainability efforts, as they relate to solid & infectious waste, Construction, Demolition and Debris (C&DD), climate change efforts and other environmental health programs as assigned.

Duties Include:

This position focuses on providing excellent customer service to internal and external
customers in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of Franklin County
Public Health;
Performs inspections, re-inspections and investigations according to standardized procedures
and prepares reports which determine compliance with state and local codes and
regulations for Environmental Health programs under the supervision of a Registered
Sanitarian;
FCPH utilizes appropriate methods for interacting effectively and professionally with persons of
all ages and from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, and ethnic
backgrounds, sexual orientations, lifestyles and physical abilities;
Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be a Sanitarian-In-Training or Registered Sanitarian with the State of Ohio;
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, as approved in OAC 4736-8-01;
Valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet insurability requirements; some evening and weekend hours required.

Hiring Salary: Rev 01/2020

$19.24 - $24.06/hour for Sanitarian-in-Training;
$21.17-$26.46/hour for Registered Sanitarian I;
$23.28-$29.11/hour for Registered Sanitarian II; and
This is a non-exempt position.
