Job Duties:

This position will oversee the Bloodborne Infectious Disease Prevention Program (Syringe Services). Develops protocols and processes for administration of the program including program reports. Serves as the day-to-day field staff for the program collecting client information, providing services, and referrals for social services and addiction treatment. Promotes testing, counseling, and referral for communicable diseases. Provides overdose prevention education and supplies including naloxone.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED with two (2) years’ experience in public health, health education, or substance use/abuse prevention
Bachelor's Degree, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Social Worker, Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist, Certified Health Education Specialist, Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant preferred or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
Must be self-starter and independent worker
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to build rapport and trust with clients
Must have strong computer skills and ability to do data entry
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
Required to have regular and predictable attendance
