Public Health Nurse

Knox County Public Health

Knox Public Health is seeking a registered nurse for a Public Health Nursing position in
the Public Health Outreach division. The responsibilities of this position will include but
not be limited to: assisting with administering immunizations to both children and adults
at on-site and off-site locations, assisting with communicable disease reporting; assisting
with family home visiting programs (ex. Newborn Home Visiting; Cribs for Kids; and
other duties as assigned or requested. Experience working with a diverse population in
public health nursing, case management, knowledge of infectious disease, immunization
administration, and electronic health records a plus.

Requirements of this position are: minimum of an associate degree/diploma in nursing
and License by the Ohio Board of Nursing required. Proficient clinical nursing,
communication, computer, organizational and customer service skills a must. Must be
proficient in Microsoft Office, (i.e. Word, Excel) & Google docs with excellent computer
skills. Individual needs to possess ability to work autonomously and work with a variety
of community partners.

This position is full-time (40 hours) with normal hours M-F 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Occasional evenings and weekends. Benefits include paid holidays, vacation, sick time,
