Public Health Nurse

Preble County Public Health

Position: Public Health Nurse, Children with Medical Handicaps (CMH) Program, Immunization Program
Hours: Full-time (40 hours)

Minimum Qualifications:   Must hold a current active license to practice registered nursing in Ohio pursuant to section 4723.13 of Revised Code, valid State of Ohio driver’s license and ongoing proof of auto insurance. Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in pediatric and adult immunization
2. Two or more years of public health experience
3. Current CPR certification
4. Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
5. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Electronic Medical Record systems

Responsibilities:

Will include but NOT limited to:

1. Providing case management including home visiting for the CMH program
2. All aspects of preparing for, educating and administering vaccines to infants, children and adults.
3. Participating as needed or requested in the event of any public health emergency.
4. Performing other activities as requested by Supervisor or Director.
