Marion Public Health is seeking a Registered Dietitian who is passionate about helping people reach their greatest health potential. We are seeking to fill a full-time opening for a WIC Supervisor who will work within our Nursing Division to improve birth outcomes and early childhood health.
The ideal candidate will have experience with nutrition assessment and education in a WIC setting, experience supporting breastfeeding, knowledge and skills in motivational interviewing, and an interest in working with community partners to implement strategies that improve access to nutrition, physical activity, and health care. In addition, the ideal candidate will have an interest in addressing maternal and child health related areas such as safe sleep, tobacco cessation, and addressing social determinants of health.
This position will take a lead role in assuring the effective management of the WIC grant and associated personnel.
