Job Title: Air Quality Engineer

Pay: $30.24 per hour (35 hours a week) Fulltime

Job Description: 

The Air Quality Engineer performs professional engineering work in the processing, evaluation and issuance of permits; calculation of air pollutant emissions, analysis of air pollution control equipment and processes; toxic risk screening and assessment; compliance audits, source testing; rule analysis and evaluation; innovative technology projects, report preparation, presentations, and public meetings, performs related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, industrial, environmental, electrical, petroleum, civil, or other related engineering field is preferred, but a Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field which incorporates at least 10 core courses (30 semester hours) of engineering related curriculum and is in combination with at least one year of related air pollution permitting experience is acceptable.

State of Ohio Registration as an Engineer Intern (EI) is preferred.

Employee has the obligation, set forth by the Summit County Public Health Emergency Operations Plan and within the scope of their employment, and will be available for emergency service during routine and non-routine hours of operation including 24/7/365 availability.

Valid driver’s license, liability insurance, automobile available.
