SANITARIAN – Full Time Position

Warren County Health District, Lebanon, Ohio

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing routine and complex inspections, testing, sampling, and vector control duties in the food safety program, school program, campground program, private water system program, sewage treatment system program, public swimming pools and spas program, and the public health nuisance programs. Employee may also have responsibilities in other environmental health programs implemented by the health district, as needed. Attends meetings and provides training for staff. Conducts inspections and consultations related to state and local environmental health programs designed to improve human health, wellbeing, and quality of natural and working environments. Provides support for accreditation activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. Degree in Environmental Health or related science (biology, etc.). Must be Registered Sanitarian or Sanitarian-In-Training with the State of Ohio. Previous experience or understanding of emergency preparedness preferred. Education and training can be substituted for experience. Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. 

Salary:

Sanitarian in Training – Beginning Salary $17.22/hr + Full WCHD Employee Benefit Package

Registered Sanitarian – Beginning Salary $18.98/hr + Full WCHD Employee Benefit Package
