Hamilton County Public Health is accepting applications for a Finance Officer. Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting or other related field, and four (4) years of professional experience with private and public sector finance or accounting. Must be willing to serve in an unclassified position. Reports directly to the Health Commissioner.

Job duties will include but are not limited to:

Planning and assisting in planning and budgeting of fiscal programs for the agency, including grants.
Developing, reviewing, analyzing and implementing fiscal policies and procedures for the agency.
Ensuring completion of ongoing fiscal duties, including statutory and grant reporting.
Managing and maintenance of required fiscal and personnel records (e.g., monthly financial reports, timekeeping, payroll, pay adjustments, etc.).
Preparing annual financial statements and coordinating audits performed by state and grantor agencies.
Preparing revenue and cost analysis as necessary for making financial decisions.
Supervising assigned staff. Attending Board of Health meetings as necessary.
