Public Health Nurse I /II (Part-Time)

Hours: Part-time Position (20 hours)
Starting Salary:
I $20.91-$28.77/hour
II $23.68-$32.58/hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree
- School Nurse Licensure or qualifications to obtain Licensure
- Current valid Licensure from State of Ohio to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Current valid Ohio driver’s license & access to a motor vehicle (mileage is reimbursed at IRS rate)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with school age children/pediatrics and knowledge of school health procedures
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Performing health screenings
- Assessing patient and developing a plan of care
- Immunization record review and follow-up
- Administering medication and treatments
- Recording patient care and progress regularly
- Documenting data and generating reports and completing appropriate forms as required
- Providing educational sessions for students and faculty
- May be required to play an active role in the event of a public health emergency, which may include changes in responsibilities and working hours
