CLASSIFICATION: Full-time; FLSA Exempt; Unclassified
PAY RANGE: Salary range $64,792.00 - $90,708.80. Commensurate with experience
WORK HOURS: Days and hours of work may vary; Travel to satellite locations will be required; Nights/weekends/holidays may be required
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Clinical Quality Manager is responsible for improving patient health outcomes through the active utilization of data, training, patient engagement, and quality improvement activities, and manages the health center’s participation in value-based programs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Five (5) years’ experience working in a healthcare setting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Clinical certification/licensure such as MA or RN
REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License. License must be maintained throughout employment.
- Acceptable driving abstract.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for managing and updating the health center’s quality improvement (QI) / quality assurance (QA) program. Schedules and staffs related committee meetings.
- Actively participates in value-based care and shared savings program contracts and initiatives, and responsible for evaluating and making recommendations for participation in new initiatives.
- Actively monitors quality dashboards and reports, identifies trends and focus areas, and effectively communicates relevant data to appropriate clinical and operations team members.
- Monitors Medicaid and Medicare roster attribution and coordinates outreach to engage members in care and to improve quality outcomes.
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting Uniform Data System (UDS) data, performing data validation, and ensuring data is captured appropriately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Develops and performs Plan-Do-Study-Acts (PDSAs) to support continuous quality improvement and to identify appropriate workflow changes.
- Responsible for the health center’s Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition.
- Monitors clinical safety and risk reports to identify and respond to trends, including identifying appropriate training for health center staff.
- Develops and updates clinical workflows and standing orders as directed by clinical leadership.
- Responsible for responding to patient grievances of a clinical nature, coordinating an appropriate response, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Responsible for managing patient satisfaction data collection, analysis, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinates and tracks clinical staff peer reviews and chart audits.
- Participates with the health center’s Health Center Controlled Network and identifies opportunities to utilize Health Information Technology (HIT) and QI training and technical assistance.
- Serves as the health center’s EHR Super User, providing clinical staff with hands-on technical assistance and running reports from EHR software.
- Manages the health center’s EHR vendor relationships. Working in collaboration with clinical and IT staff, identifies necessary EHR modifications, recommends changes and additions, and ensures project completion.
- Serves as the health center’s HIPAA Privacy Officer to ensure HIPAA compliance, appropriate staff training, and to report HIPAA breaches. Works in collaboration with the Security Officer and other key staff to perform Security Risk Assessments and to document progress towards improvement.
- Oversees the inventory, maintenance, and utilization of medical instruments including calibration, documentation, and staff training.
- Regularly supervises employees and evaluates employee performance to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and goals as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of HIPPA and OSHA policies and procedures
- Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking abilities and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and to meet deadlines
- Ability to provide proof of automobile insurance
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
- Ability to work alternate hours (early morning, late evening, and/or weekends)
- Ability to lift 55 pounds as needed

- Travels to off-site and satellite locations
