Registered Environmental Health Specialist
The Delaware Public Health District is seeking a Registered Environmental Health Specialist or Specialist in Training, in the Residential Services Unit of the Environmental Health Division. This individual will perform Environmental Health on-site inspections, provide education and training to achieve compliance, interpret laws and policies, prepare reports which determine compliance with state and local codes, initiate public health orders and recommend enforcement actions, maintain accurate files, assist in preparation of legal or administrative documents, collect field samples, etc.
Residential Services Unit
This position is responsible for conducting inspections and plan reviews of various premises and facilities for sewage/water systems.
Requirements:
BA/BS degree (30 semester hours must be in sciences), Ohio driver license, and eligible for Ohio Registered Environmental Health Specialist in Training registration.
Occasional weekend or evening work may be required.
Salary and Benefits:
The starting salary is between the minimum and midpoint of the range. Candidates will start at the minimum of the range unless their skills, experience, education or other factors exceed the qualifications of the position.
