TITLE:                                  Full-Time Behavioral Health Specialist 1  

CLASSIFIED                           Classified, FLSA Non-Exempt

PAY RANGE:                         $27.33 to $38.25 Per Hour

                                            Salary to commensurate with experience

WORK HOURS:                      8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. or comparable schedule    

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:      Behavioral Health Manager  

GENERAL SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Behavioral Health Specialist 1 (BHS) under the supervision of an LISW, is a member of the primary care team and provides person and family centered, culturally-competent evidenced based treatments through face-to-face therapy with individuals and or families including, but not limited to: diagnostic assessment, treatment of mental, emotional, and substance abuse disorders. BHS is responsible for developing treatment plans for each patient to achieve behavior change, increased quality of life, and the best outcomes possible for the people we serve. 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, or related field with licensure and credentials per the State of Ohio

• At least two years work-related experience as LSW
• Working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments
• Ability to work through brief patient contacts to make quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental health conditions
• Valid Ohio driver’s license
• Proof of automobile insurance
• The ability to successfully pass a background check
• COVID-19 vaccination or eligibility for medical or religious exemption required
