The Ross County Health District is actively seeking a motivated Community Health Specialist I or II to lead the agency’s Injury Prevention Program / Grant within the Division of Health Promotion and Quality Improvement. The Injury Prevention Program focuses on drug overdose prevention for Ross County.
Position Description: The Community Health Specialist II- Injury Prevention utilizes public health concepts and theories to provide health promotion and disease prevention services to individuals, families, and population groups, in a and variety of settings focusing on drug overdose prevention. Participates in public health programs focusing on injury prevention and substance abuse prevention and working with community coalitions / organizations in policy development, program implementation, grant deliverables and program planning. Public Health activities are directed toward the goals of prevention, assessment, risk reduction and health status improvement for individuals, families, and communities through systematic analysis of health data, health education and advocacy, coalition building and policy development. The Community Health Specialist - Injury Prevention is a grant funded program.
Pay Range: pay is commensurate with education and professional experience.
Hours: Full-time, Non-Exempt, classified, Occasional weekend or afterhours required
