Job Duties: Assists in the assessment and development of health education programs; setting goals and objectives; implementing program activities; and coordinating and conducting health education programs. Responsible for monitoring, evaluating, coordinating and analyzing the effectiveness of health education programs including but not limited to compiling statistical data, field activities, and other reports as required. Leads and participates in applicable community groups and acts as program liaison to schools, community groups and agencies, and health education groups. Responsible for the development of health education materials, teaching modules, and general correspondence. All health district employees have an emergency response role and may be expected to respond to threats to the public’s health in accordance with the Greene County Public Health Emergency Response Plan.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with major core coursework in health education or health promotion with minimum six months experience assisting in and/or developing health education programs, or bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of three years’ experience in developing health education programs; valid driver’s license, and Microsoft Office required.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with one-hour unpaid lunch. Evenings and weekends required.
